Desert Palms Amenities

The gorgeous desert mountain setting is at the heart of the amenities offered at Desert Palms.

A Serene Escape

Hidden in the mountains only 15 minutes from Palm Springs, this facility was once a boutique hotel and Hollywood movie set. Desert Palms is a serene and modern escape for recovery that's surrounded by palm trees and mountain scenes. Start healing with time in our on-site pool and Jacuzzi, with classes in our yoga and meditation room and with hikes through the California foothills.

Healthy, Nutritious Meals

Enjoy healthy, nutritious meals prepared by the staff chef for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our kitchen is commercial-grade and accommodating for dietary restrictions, so you can eat without compromising your spiritual, moral or health-related needs. We also teach patients healthy eating habits and how to manage medications along with a new diet.

Comfortable Living

With only 36 beds available, the intimate setting of Desert Palms will ensure that you have the attention you need for your recovery. Share a bedroom with a peer of the same gender or gender expression as you so you feel at peace when you rest. Our co-ed recreation room has a television and computers for your supervised use.

Outpatient Services with Housing

Located just 15 minutes from the Desert Palms residential facility is the Palm Desert Outpatient clinic that offers outpatient services with transitional living accommodations for patients who want continued support and structure after completing the residential program.

We recommend stepping down from a 30-day treatment program, which is more intensive, to an outpatient program that may meet for six hours a day five times a week or for a few hours a day three to five times a week. People often find that going from the Desert Palms residential program to the Palm Desert outpatient program is helpful as they already know the area and some of the staff, which makes it a comfortable, more gentle transition.

The outpatient programs allow patients to search for work and adjust to life in recovery with more support and supervision from our professionals. Patients may continue outpatient care anywhere from a few weeks to three months.
