Sunspire Health Launches New Patient Access Center to Provide Expert Guidance for Navigating Addiction Treatment Decisions

Experienced behavioral health professionals available 24/7 to engage callers in informed discussions about individualized and evidence-based treatment

LYNDHURST, N.J.--()--Sunspire Health, a nationwide network of addiction treatment facilities offering personalized treatment and addiction recovery services across the United States, announced the opening of its new call-in Access Center. Relocated from Florida to the greater Philadelphia area, the Access Center, is designed to provide informed, patient-centered guidance from specialized behavioral health professionals to anyone seeking information about treatment for substance use disorders, trauma and co-occurring disorders.

The Access Center is staffed 24/7 by Sunspire Health Care Advocates, all of whom are experienced in engaging patients, loved ones, and healthcare providers in important conversations about care decisions. Care Advocates include Master’s level clinicians, registered nurses and other behavioral health professionals.

“The first step towards receiving treatment for an addiction is the hardest, and because there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to recovery, it can be even more challenging, overwhelming, and even discouraging, to navigate the many complex options for care to ensure the decision suits the needs of the individual,” said Chris Diamond, Chief Executive Officer of Sunspire Health. “Individualized and evidence-based treatment provided by experienced behavioral health professionals provide patients with the best chances for long-term recovery. Sunspire’s new Access Center ensures a patient-centered approach to treatment that is informed by experts in the field starting with the very first step and continuing throughout the care process, helping us set the new standard for quality addiction treatment in the United States.”

Melissa Santarelli, Vice President of Patient Experience at Sunspire Health, added, “Our Care Advocates are able to facilitate immediate and confidential consultation to support callers and engage them in compassionate discussions to help determine appropriate next steps to access care. Discussions may include appropriate types of care, specialized care needs or potential barriers to treatment, among other topics, and might also engage a caller’s family or support system, when appropriate. Discussions can take place over the course of time to work through the best care decision. Our highest priority is to build trusting relationships with patients to ensure timely access to care, clinical excellence and an overall valuable experience starting with the initial call to the Access Center throughout their entire course of treatment with Sunspire Health.”

Addiction impacts people from all walks of life and Sunspire Health recognizes that everyone approaches this process with a different background, lifestyle and set of experiences. It is imperative to meet a broad range of patients at their point of need, and effective, long-term recovery requires an individualized approach to providing quality and evidence-based care.
